WanderingMind: Interactive Story

Wandering Mind is an immersive interactive story about the fragmented nature of memory. As you touch the clock’s hands, you enter a conceptual world shaped by the fragile, fragmented nature of memory. Here, you follow the story of Blanca, a woman navigating the early stages of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Touch the clock hands to enter a world where memory flickers like fading light.

Story

Blanca Blanca is a 60-year-old woman living with her daughter and grandson. After beginning to experience early signs of Alzheimer's, we enter her mind to witness her fears and her process of confronting this new reality.

In this interactive experience, time is not just measured—it is felt. As you touch the clock’s hands, you enter a conceptual world shaped by the fragile, fragmented nature of memory. This game is a extended version of the project. Here people can explore the anxiety of taking a cognitive exam. This narrative frame provides a more directly interactive structure, allowing users to metaphorically explore her story.

Videos Post_Human_Resources - 2025

The first part of the exhibition Post-Human_Resources was open from June 26th to June 28th, 2025, featuring a selection of works from the University of Arts Linz. These videos were captured during the exhibition, documenting multiple participants engaging with the installation. The project successfully sparked touching conversations and reflections around the topics of Alzheimer's and cognitive challenges.

Idea

Growing up, I saw how dementia could erase a person's story, leading to disappearances that left families forever changed. This project is a response to those losses. It is my way of exploring the mind's complexities—especially its vulnerabilities—through the mediums I find most compelling: interactive art, animation, and immersive storytelling, all of which can handle a difficult topic with both sensitivity and impact.
